Highs:

Both Kerr Gulch and Grapevine road feel “off the beaten path” with very little car traffic.

Plenty of challenging climbs.

Beautiful views.

We even saw a herd of Elk!

Lows:

There is not much of a shoulder on 74 and there is always traffic (but it is a short portion of the ride).

Relatively small amount of dirt/gravel overall.

Do this ride if you want a ride with more pavement than dirt, and you want to get a good amount of climbing in a short distance. A perfect after-work ride!

Other Notes:

The Phillips 66 gas station across from where we parked and started is a great place to get water and use the bathroom.
