Thirty plus people enjoying a group gravel ride with the Sports Garage Bike Shop in Boulder despite the 45º temperatures (Coloradans are tough)!
Becoming more comfortable with singletrack because we’ve ridden several of these trails before (Queens of elevated cattle guards).
Learning new dirt roads and trails in Boulder.
Enjoying representing women in the gravel biking community on a ride that was 90% men. (We felt badass.)
Per usual, even though we examined the route beforehand we didn’t anticipate the amount of single track and the difficult technical terrain (rocky, steep, loose gravel).
Trying to keep up with mountain bikers who are gravel biking for the day was a challenge (they’ve got technical skills!).
Gloves weren’t quite warm enough for 45º temps when descending!!
Do this ride if you want a challenging groad and you’re comfortable on mountain bike trails with the technical skills to navigate tough terrain and steep inclines.
There is no shame in walking up or down hills!
